Flash post: This Light
This Light
May this light surprise every one of us with what we are capable of.
May it show up and show up big,
even when we only see dark.
May it radiate connection
to our power, to the greatest power,
to love within, between, among, throughout.
May this light spark connection
even in times when separation is obvious around us.
May it surprise us with the simplicity of closing a gap,
making what’s stopping us visible,
not hidden.
May it take away the power the unknown has
by making it known.
May it touch
everything.
I wrote this piece at a yogic winter solstice workshop led by Karina Mirsky on December 19, 2014. Not today, not yesterday, not after the election of 2016. Light and dark are always present. Ask yourself what today’s light can bring for you, for others. This light, now.
I caught this photo one week after the summer solstice this year, when my sister Amy and her kids took me to watch the sunset over Lake Michigan at Tunnel Park near Holland. This light, this night, timeless.
Love! ❤️
A beautiful reflection of Shakti. Thanks for the shout out too. XO
